1. How long have you worked at Coor?
I’ve been here since April 2006. It was originally a summer job and I worked in the cold buffet section. After the summer I became a support worker, covering sick leave and holidays. Later on Coor advertised a 75% job in the restaurant which I applied for and got, and I’m now on a permanent contract. I’ve been working here ever since and I really enjoy it.
2. In what way is working at Coor different compared with your previous employer?
I worked in a café for a year. The difference is that I didn’t develop at all during that year. I was just plodding along doing the same thing day in and day out, and my boss only ever really took notice of me when I arrived and left.
Now I get a lot more attention from my supervisor, even though there are a lot more of us. I have a chance to develop and try out all kinds of new things.
3. What’s the best thing about working at Coor?
What I like best is that Coor is so big and you have an opportunity to do so many different things. Working in different areas is very educational. You understand the bigger picture better and don’t only develop professionally, but also personally. The communication with the supervisors is great: if you have a problem, they’re always ready to help and support you. It’s also nice to work with people.
