Coor Service Management expands into the offshore industry
Statoil has signed a new deal with Coor Service Management on taking on responsibility for delivering services on five Statoil oil platforms. This agreement means Coor Service Management is moving into an all-new market segment, and will expand its Norwegian operation by 200 staff and a total contract volume of NOK 1,100 m during the contract period.
Statoil has signed a new deal with Coor Service Management on taking on responsibility for delivering services on five Statoil oil platforms. This agreement means Coor Service Management is moving into an all-new market segment, and will expand its Norwegian operation by 200 staff and a total contract volume of NOK 1,100 m during the contract period.
The new assignment involves Coor Service Management taking responsibility for delivering and developing a portfolio of support services to the Snorre A and B, and Statfjord A, B and C oil platforms. Services include cleaning, restaurants, accommodation and reception services. Coor will be hiring 200 staff for this assignment, and will offer employment to numerous employees from the current service supplier.
“Through our existing deals with Statoil, GE Oil & Gas and Aibel, we’ve already established a presence in the oil and gas sector, where we see high potential. This is our first offshore assignment, which advances our positioning as a strategic service partner in this sector," commented Mikael Stöhr, CEO and President of Coor Service Management.
Delivery commences on 1 July. The tender put a big focus on issues like safety and quality, customer focus, service development as well as collaboration.

Coor commenced a new collaboration with Statoil in mid-2014, on property and workplace (hard and soft FM) services at 31 major offices and production plants on the Norwegian mainland. This assignment was the largest-ever outsourcing deal on the Norwegian FM market.
