Coor wins new contract with Norwegian Jernbaneverket

Coor has signed a new agreement with Jernbaneverket, the Norwegian National Rail Administration, regarding cleaning of 42 platforms on the Oslo, mainline and Gardermoen railway lines.

From 1 January 2017, Coor will assume responsibility for the cleaning of public spaces at train stations and other stops along the Oslo, mainline and Gardermoen railway lines. The agreement encompasses 42 stations with a total value of SEK 13 m over two years, with an option to extend the contract for a further two years.

Under a government assignment, Jernbaneverket’s primary task is to manage, maintain and operate Norway’s railways. Jernbaneverket is also responsible for traffic control in the national rail network.

”We’re delighted that Jernbaneverket has chosen Coor to provide its cleaning services. This assignment has a high safety profile, and the fact that we’ve been awarded the assignment is a result of the high priority we assign to our HSEQ work. As one of Norway’s largest cleaning providers we have solid experience of delivering services across diverse geographical regions. We look forward to implementing several of Coor’s smart solutions to address Jernbaneverket’s challenges,” commented Mona Dehli, Business Area Manager at Coor in Norway.
