I’m taking my hat off to you
We’ve run our first environmental audit of all our FM deliveries using the Coor Green Services environmental tool. This work was extensive and demanding, but also stimulating and important. Generally, the results were positive—60 sites out of the 120 audited qualified for gold or silver status. This was higher than I had expected, and shows that the environmental ambition of our customers is generally high. I take my hat off to you.
In Sweden, we've also created a new award 'Environmental Star of the Year,' which we give to the outstanding customer in the environmental sphere. This year, we're proud to be able to make Skanska our winner. Skanska is an excellent example of a customer with defined high environmental ambitions that also lives up to its goals. Its head office in Stockholm is one of the sites achieving the gold standard, and its environmental commitment group wide is very apparent. This offers us inspiration and urges us forward. The prize is a symbolic sum of money, which we will be donating to an environmental project of the customer's choice. In this issue, were also introducing a new column—"a word from our expert" and a new series of articles—"integrated complete solutions." It's interesting to note how more companies and public bodies are realizing the benefits of allowing a single provider to assume overall responsibility for executing, leading, developing and streamlining all the business-support FM services necessary for a customer's core operations to work optimally. We're seeing this happen Nordic wide, in every sector and in different large operations. If you're still not convinced, I recommend you follow this series of articles, which starts in this issue.
