Coor signs agreement with the Swedish Transport Administration

Coor Service Management has signed a four-year agreement with the Swedish Transport Administration. This agreement involves the delivery of IFM services to the Administration at 57 locations.

The Swedish Transport Administration is responsible for the long-term planning of road, rail, maritime and air traffic, and for the construction, operation and maintenance of the national highway and rail network. The collaboration between the Administration and Coor means that some 40 of the Administration's employees in several sites will be offered employment at Coor. The agreement is worth some SEK 400 m.

"We're really pleased about this collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration. This is one of the larger tenders for integrated facilities management services in the public sector this year, and I'm pleased that a public body sees the benefits of outsourcing a large number of services to a single supplier," commented Staffan Ebenfelt, President of Coor Service Management in Sweden.

The Administration's management resources, which currently consists of central functions and six operational segments, are at 57 locations. Coor will be responsible primarily for the delivery of soft FM services to the Administration's some 6,500 employees in the relevant locations. Services covered by this agreement include receptionist services, conference services, managing office materials, cleaning, security, waste management, premises planning and office machines.

The agreement becomes effective on 1 February 2012, and after four years, has a further one-year extension option.
