Coor signs new and extended IFM agreement with Borealis

Coor has gained the renewed confidence of Borealis by signing a new 5-year agreement for IFM services. The agreement is worth some SEK 100 M annually and starts in the first quarter of 2020.

The new agreement means that Coor will deliver Integrated Facility Management (IFM) services and property services to Borealis’ some 1,000 employees at 140 facilities at its Stenungsund site. Services included in the assignment include property maintenance, building conversions and extensions, recycling, reception, telephony, mail management, restaurant services, cleaning and security and surveillance. As a result of the new assignment, Coor will deliver proprietary cleaning services.

Borealis produces plastics for power cables, communication cables, pipe systems, automotive components and advanced packaging solutions. The assignment requires a solid quality assurance system for service delivery that satisfies the stringent demands of the manufacturing industry.

“We’ve collaborated with Coor for several years and are delighted with their delivery. They focus sharply on safety and continuous improvement, in line with Borealis’ development. We’re looking forward to continuing the positive collaboration with Coor,” commented  Wouter Verheyden, Plant Availability & Turn-Around Manager at Borealis in Stenungsund.

“It’s extremely pleasing that Borealis has chosen to extend the collaboration. The operations are complex with stringent HSEQ requirements, and our goal is to continue to deliver our services alongside Borealis by providing new innovative solutions,” commented AnnaCarin Grandin, President of Coor in Sweden.

“We’re looking forward to continuing to develop the partnership and are delighted to have gained Borealis’ renewed confidence. The new agreement also further confirms Coor’s Nordic market leadership in IFM,” commented Mikael Stöhr, President and CEO at Coor.
