Coor expands collaboration with Volvo Buses
Volvo Bus Corporation has signed a five-year agreement with Coor Service Management. The agreement means that Coor will deliver and develop production and property related services to the Volvo Buses factory in Borås.
The five-year agreement is worth in the region of SEK 100 million, and is for Volvo Bus Corporation's chassis production unit in Viared, outside Borås in south-west Sweden. The order is to deliver and develop management and maintenance services at the Borås factory. This includes electrical and mechanical maintenance, repairs on pneumatic machinery, stock management, waste and waste product management, and tool production.
"We're very pleased to win further orders from Volvo Buses. Our task now is to review, develop and streamline production and property maintenance at the Borås factory in consultation with the customer," says Per-Gunnar Persson, head of Business Unit Production at Coor Service Management.
In conjunction with the new agreement, all 19 personnel at Volvo Buses' maintenance department in Borås have been offered employment with Coor. The agreement comes into force on 1 January 2007.
