Coor Service Management signs agreement with LEO Pharma and expands on the Danish market

LEO Pharma has chosen Coor Service Management as its service supplier. The agreement means that Coor will increase its turnover in Denmark considerably. The assignment covers delivery and development of workplace services to the company headquarters in Ballerup (Copenhagen). The agreement will run for five years and represents Coor's largest agreement in Denmark.

The collaboration covers the majority of LEO Pharma's internal services. Both parties are expecting the collaboration to expand over the next few years.

- "Once Coor takes over internal services we will be able to concentrate on our core competence, which is developing, producing and marketing pharmaceuticals. With Coor's experience in the service field, we can improve our cost-effectiveness and flexibility," says Karsten Sørensen, Director of Supply Chain Management at LEO Pharma.

LEO Pharma is the first medical company in Denmark to which Coor will be supplying internal services. The agreement covers cleaning, receiving goods, dealing with post, logistics and grounds maintenance. As part of the agreement, 44 of LEO Pharma's employees will be offered employment by Coor.

- "This assignment for LEO Pharma represents a major and strategically important step for us on the Danish market, which is developing extremely rapidly. Coor's Danish activities are growing considerably now that we are supplying services to the pharmaceutical industry – something we previously only did in Sweden," says Mats Jönsson, CEO of Coor Service Management.

The agreement comes into force on 1 January 2007.
