Acquisition broadens Coor’s presence in Norway

Coor Service Management acquires 80 percent of the shares in the Norwegian service group Renhold - Skade - Sentralen (RSS). The company has around 130 employees and achieves a turnover of approximately NOK 100 million.

RSS provides services including the operation and maintenance of properties, cleaning and damage control. Activities are concentrated mainly around Bergen, but the company also has a presence in Alta, Stavanger and Haugesund.

"The acquisition of RSS helps us to further strengthen our position in Norway and improves our geographical coverage. It also takes us closer to our goal of becoming the leading player on the Norwegian market. We expect our rate of growth in Norway over the coming years to remain high. RSS brings additional skills to several of our core areas, as well as excellent employees and a broad customer base," says Mats Jönsson, CEO of Coor Service Management.

Renhold - Skade - Sentralen's CEO Jostein Ekrem owns the remaining 20 percent of the company. The deal is conditional upon the approval of the competition authorities.

"With Coor as the principal owner, Renhold - Skade - Sentralen will be able to be developed further. We will be able to benefit from Coor's extensive experience, high levels of competence and its Nordic network," says Jostein Ekrem, CEO of Renhold - Skade - Sentralen.
