Coor Service Management makes 280 redundancies
To adapt operations to forthcoming changes in provision to one of the company's larger customers, Coor Service Management is issuing redundancy notices equivalent to 280 positions.
Negotiations with the customer are underway; more information on these changes cannot be disclosed until the negotiations are complete.
"We've had a good collaboration with this customer for several years. We're currently engaged in contract negotiations to extend provision, although this will be on a smaller scale than at present. Unfortunately, to adapt our organisation and operations to the announced changes, we must issue staff with redundancy notices. Laying off staff is always regrettable, and right now, we're focusing on managing the situation as well as possible despite the difficult position for many of these staff, who are living with uncer-tainty and worry," commented Bengt Håkansson, Deputy CEO of Coor Service Mana-gement's Swedish operation. The affected staff have been informed, and discussions with the unions have begun.
