Coor Service Management wins new contract with Östergötland County Council

Coor Service Management has signed a new agreement with Östergötland County Council, south of Stockholm, worth a total of some SEK 150 m, with a four-year term. This agreement means Coor taking on overall responsibility for delivering and developing janitor services, as well as some cleaning and care-related services at Linköping University Hospital, Vrinnevi Hospital in Norrköping, Finspång General Hospital and various health centers.

Coor has been delivering FM services to Östergötland County Council since 2003, but the County Council conducted a new tendering process as the current contract was approaching the end of its term. Coor re-secured the majority of this contract against strong competition.

The new agreement is worth some SEK 150 m on a fixed-fee basis, with an option for increased volumes through supplementary orders. The agreement is effective 1 November 2009 and runs for four years, with a further two-year extension option.

Commenting, Hans Josefsson, Coor Service Management's Business Area Manager, said: "We're delighted that we'll continue to deliver and develop FM services for Östergötland County Council. This is recognition of the strength of our offering to the public sector. We're now looking forward to a continued positive collaboration, where we will continue to develop our deliveries."

FM services consist of cleaning and traditional janitor services (transport, waste management, mail and freight). The agreement also includes care-related services, such as unpacking care supplies or consumables.

Responding, Helena Dalgard, Agreement Controller at Östergötland County Council, said: "We're looking forward to the continued development of FM services alongside Coor."
