Coor—a new deal with GKN Aerospace
Coor Service Management has signed a new, five-year deal with GKN Aerospace in Trollhättan, north of Gothenburg. This agreement involves Coor delivering and developing soft FM, real estate maintenance and industrial services.
GKN Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry. A leader in the manufacture of highly complex composite and metallic aerostructures and engine products, whose business is equally focused on military and civil markets.
The estimated total contract value through its term is some SEK 340 m. This partnership means Coor continuing to deliver services to the operation in Trollhättan. The contract runs from 1 January 2013.
“I’m really pleased that we’re continuing to deliver services for the new owner of the Trollhättan operation. Our collaboration with GKN is working really well, and after intensive negotiations, we’ve jointly prepared a new agreement, which means that over the next five years we’ll be developing services together,” commented Coor’s Business Unit President Thomas Front.
The agreement includes a large number of services that Coor will be developing, coordinating and delivering. Constituent services include soft FM, real estate maintenance, process maintenance, warehouse and stock handling, forklift truck maintenance and internal transportation.
