SDC of Denmark selects Coor as integrated facility management provider
After conducting a tender SDC (Skandinavisk Data Center) has selected Coor (Coor Service Management) as its provider of a fully integrated facility management (IFM) solution. The yearly contract value is in tens of millions of Swedish kronor, with a four-year term and extension option. The contract start date is 1 November 2014.
This new agreement involves Coor taking responsibility for restaurant, reception, cleaning, outdoor areas, reprographics, janitorial services, mail and freight, property maintenance, as well as guarding and security. Coor is taking on 15 employees from SDC.
"SDC's operation focuses on innovative solutions for financial clients in the Nordics, so our two operations are a good fit, because Coor takes a very active approach to intelligent solutions and improvements for our customers," commented Jörgen Utzon, President of Coor Service Management Denmark.
The new and innovative solutions that Coor will be delivering to SDC include an integrated order and follow-up system (Coor Performance Portal), a digitalized management system for physical mail (Coor SmartFlow), as well as a number of attractive offerings to SDC's people to help simplify their working days. This is the first time SDC has decided to outsource all its support service functions to one full-range provider.
"We want to focus more on our core business, which is why we've decided to outsource our FM services to Coor. This ensures optimal operation and maintains a continuous focus on improvements in the FM segment. We think this outsourcing will bring our people still better potential to develop their competencies," responded SDC's CFO, Henrik Buchholt Bach.
