Science Based Targets
Coor works with science-based targets. This means that Coor's climate goals are in line with the Paris Agreement and what the science says is required to limit global warming to 1.5°C. It also means that Coor has committed to reach Net Zero no later than 2050. Coor's climate goals were validated by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) on 26 April 2022.

75 % emission cut until 2030
In order to limit global warming to 1.5°C, Coor has set a target of reducing its emissions of greenhouse gases under scope 1 and scope 2 by 75% by 2030, compared to 2018.
75 % emissions from suppliers with SBTs
Coor has set a target to ensure that 75% of the company’s scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services, upstream transportation and distribution come from suppliers with targets approved by SBTi. This goal is to be met by 2026.
Net Zero latest 2050
Coor has adopted SBTi’s Net-Zero Standard and are setting the strategy for reaching net zero greenhouse gas emissions and the year when this will be met. According to the standard this is no later than 2050. Coor is aiming to determine a strategy that will make this possible earlier.
The scopes explained
Direct emissions from Coor’s vehicle fleet and machine park. The goal until 2030 is to have an entirely fossil-free vehicle fleet.
Indirect emissions from premises where Coor has operational control of excess energy use. The goal until 2030 is that all electricity come from renewable sources. The long-term goal is to use only renewable energy sources to meet the demand for electricity, heating, and cooling in the premises.
Indirect emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel and energy related activities, upstream transportation and distribution, employee commuting and waste management. In addition to our supplier engagement target, we have also set a target of reducing emissions from food and beverage by 30% [kg CO2e/kg purchased raw material] by 2025 compared to the baseline year 2018.
