Coor has decided to commit to Science Based Targets initiative to set climate targets in line with limiting global temperature rise to 1.5°C.

Coor is now taking an strategically important step and committing to Science Based Targets initiative as part of Coor’s agenda in being an environmentally responsible company.

“To join SBTi  is the right thing to do and a natural step to take in line with our high ambitions to become a truly sustainable company. It demonstrates our commitment in taking responsibility but also to create new business opportunities”, says AnnaCarin Grandin, president and CEO of Coor.

Coor is now starting the validation process to make sure that our targets comply with the SBTi’s criteria.

“Coor’s service delivery creates emissions in our supply chain and in the use of our services and acting on that, with the basis in SBTi, will be key in sustainable business going forward”, says AnnaCarin Grandin.

Coor aims to promote responsible consumption and reduced emissions by actively helping to minimise its customers’ environmental impact. We are optimizing our customer’s energy use through SmartEnergy, and chemical-free cleaning is becoming increasingly common in our customer contracts. Coor supports research on sustainability and food and we work with circular business models for sustainability at all stages and reuse wherever possible. These are just a few of several examples of the positive environmental impact that Coor’s sustainability management activities have for our customers.
