Coor wins innovation award

For the third year in a row, IFMA awards prize for best FM innovation. The 2021 prize happily goes to Coor – this time for the service we offer in collaboration with Mimbly, sustainable laundry.

Coor wins IFMA’s innovation prize for the third year running with a new service for sustainable laundry in partnership with Mimbly.

As a step towards encouraging and spreading innovations that develop and improve the FM sector, the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) has established an annual award for best FM innovation. The jury, which consists of Board representatives from IFMA and experts in the field, this year decided to award the prize to Coor in collaboration with Mimbly.

Mimbly was founded as a student project at Chalmers Institute of Technology in 2017, focusing on developing sustainable laundry solutions. The Mimbox addresses a number of major environmental problems such as water consumption, energy efficiency and microplastics.

“We are delighted to have been awarded IFMA’s innovation prize for the third year running, which highlights our excellent innovative ability to continuously identify, develop and launch services and solutions with tangible value to our customers, ourselves and society as a whole. Our collaborations with new innovative companies such as Mimbly is a key component in this. We at Coor want to say a big thank you to Isabella and the entire team at Mimbly. It is incredibly exciting and valuable to be a part of your journey,” commented Fredrik Sandqvist, Head of Innovation at Coor.

”Collaborating with Coor proves that large corporations and start-ups can work together, for real. The help we have received ranges from input to product development, from sector contacts to finding a business model that suits us both. Coor’s focus on sustainability and innovation is something that I hope will inspire others in the sector to have the courage to work with start-ups at an early stage,” commented Isabella Palmgren, CEO and Co-founder of Mimbly.
